These wood vases, called "weed pots", are used for dried flowers, pen holders, etc. They also look great just as they are. All of our weed pots are made from local woods by Byron McSpadden. Byron is a 78 year old retired Methodist Minister and lives just down the road. He collects the wood in the winter when the sap is down and dries it for several months before using. Turning the vases and applying the finish brings out the natural beauty of each piece. No two are alike. Sizes range from 4" high to 10" high and include several types of woods. For the purposes of simplicity, unless otherwise requested, your weed pot will be about 6" high and be a wood of our choice depending on availability with a cost of $10 each. If you have a preference-i.e. light wood, dark wood, etc., please let us know and we will do our best to select one for you.
