Flat Creek Dulcimer Shop
I am retiring this fall and am offering my retail business for sale. For almost 29 years, the Flat Creek Dulcimer Shop has been one of the "you got to stop at ..." shops in Hardy, Arkansas. We have been featured on news shows and in newspapers from Memphis, Jonesboro, and Little Rock, and have been a part of "Travellin' Arkansas" on AETN twice.

In the bustling vacation area of Hardy, Arkansas, we have a steady flow of visitors that include a lot of repeat customers. With the Spring River running through town and the beautiful scenery of the Ozarks, Hardy has been a destination for vacationers and travellers for over 80 years. The historic 3 block section of Main Street is included on the National Historic Register, with 21 individual buildings on the list as well, including the Flat Creek Dulcimer Shop. Come to Hardy and share our wonderful peace of the Ozarks.
Includes inventory, website, and 28 years of repeat customers, advertising, and good will and a great location with the best display windows in town. No luthier experience or skills needed. You can resell or you can set up shop and build your own.
Also included is a laser engraving business I established in 2000. An established list of regular customers and corresponding jobs and files along with a Xenetech laser with a 18" by 30" bed, the computer with all files and layout and operating software, and design and drawing software. Parts and supplies to make trophies, wood rosettes, plaques, nametags and whatever your imagination can come up with are included.
Building and fixtures available for rent and has great display windows, the best location in town and almost 5000 square feet. Lots of room for growth, production, booth rental, etc.

Welcome to the Flat Creek Dulcimer Shop. Since opening in 1988 we have been located in Hardy, Arkansas and make our instruments right here in the Ozark Mountains. Our goal from the beginning was to build quality, good sounding instruments at an affordable price and to make sure you have a good understanding of how to play them. We have not wavered from that philosophy. We invite you to come to Hardy, Arkansas and visit our store, our area, and our people. Camping, canoeing, trout fishing (walleye, bass and catfish, too), shopping, antiques, and much more. A great place to live and a great place to visit, the Hardy area has lots to offer. Make plans to spend some time here. Be sure to stop in and say “Hey”.
